A Typical Trip
The week leading up to the trip...
After consulting various online swell forecasting and weather sites, a decision will be made about the destination for the trip. Swell is generated by low pressure systems out to sea, and we are looking for a decent sized wave at a location with light local winds. This is not likely to be finalised before Wednesday. Possible locations include Mull of Kintyre (as in example below), Caithness, Sutherland, Aberdeenshire and East Lothian.
You will be collected on Friday at around 7pm in our custom built VW LT28 mobile home. The vehicle is fitted with fridge, cooker, running water and ample storage / sleeping space. Arrive Machrihanish 11.30pm, camp for the night.
